This delectable pie is a staple for any holiday. Pecan pie is one that is easy to whip up that will have your friends saying yumm and even the kidos. This rich custard with savory pecans make your holiday spread complete.
Pecan Pie
Crust:
in a bowl add
1 1/4 c. flour
1/3 sugar
pinch of salt
8 Tbs. cold butter (cubed)
cut with your hand
add slowly cold water to form dough
then wrap up and chill 1 hour
roll out on a floured surface and place in 9 inch pie dish
Pecan Filling
4 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tbs. flour
1/4 c. melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 c. white karo
1 c. chopped pecans
add to unbaked pie shell
Bake @ 350 for 1 1/2 hour
